Anyone tried Nick Malgieri's genoise recipe?

It's different than most recipes I've seen because it doesn't include any butter...

No, but doesn't the lack of fat just make it like biscuit aka ladyfingers?

Well I was wondering about that. I think he compensates for the lack of fat with more egg yolks, but I may be mistaken.
