Did look kind of crustacean like didn't it? Anna and I were debating shrimp - Pacific Northwest would allow the conifers, the lupines and the seafood.

We don't have anybody from British Columbia here, do we? That would be my guess....

Are those crayfish? Because those you can catch pretty much all over, the stream behind out house in Western NYS was bristling with them.

If that's a burl piece behind the lupines then I'd guess Ann_T. She's been eating spotted prawns.

And here's your first clue for next week:

That's tough, with the amount of flooding that's been going on around the world it could be anywhere from Saskatchewan or Tennessee, to Queensland or Victoria. I'll go out on a limb and guess Oz.

I'll say Manitoba. That doesn't look like Australian construction to me, and the trees at the end of that boulevard look more like ash and maple than gum.

Unfortunately, chiliheadmike moved to KY a couple of years ago. You *are* getting close, though.

Not I. I noticed the sign in front of the cafe looks an awful lot like Gates "sruttin" logo.
That's the thing about opposum inerds, they's just as tasty the next day.

ulterior epicure? It would certainly be nice to see him back, and to live a week of his food life.

That would be great - he's been eating at some really neat places lately.

Who lives in the Chesapeake VA area? The background looks like the hammerhead crane in Portsmouth VA at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Alas, as rarerollingobject's week comes to an end, the eG Foodblogs are starting a short summer hiatus. Don't worry, they'll be back this fall.

The eG Foodblogs have had a fantastic year and I'd like to thank all of the foodbloggers for sharing their culinary worlds with us. It may seem like a simple thing, but as each of the participants knows, it can be a lot of work to document all of the food shopping, prepping, ordering, cooking and eating that takes place in a week -- especially when they go out of their way to show us interesting things.

And a thank you to all of the members who have encouraged our foodbloggers -- asking questions, giving suggestions and showing your appreciation for what they were showing you. The conversation is what makes our foodblogs so great!

If you would like to take a turn, please send me a note or email and we can discuss scheduling a foodblog in the fall/winter.

Thanks!
