Following @liamsaunt‘s post, Pizza & Movie night here as well. Forgot to start the dough yesterday so „emergency dough“ today, featuring one of my wife’s lovely homemade yoghurts for complexity & structure - no complaints.

 

This time I stuck to the classics (not to aggrevate certain members 😉).

Would have been better on a day that was a bit cooler, but Saturday I roasted the bone in turkey breast I had gotten for free at Thanksgiving. “Little potato company” small red potatoes roasted as the turkey rested, green beans. Heated some homemade gravy that I had saved in the freezer. Really good, I’ve had good luck with keeping the turkey nice and moist. Regretfully, forgot the cranberry sauce, but that will keep another year.😁

Now I have room in the freezer for making ice cream or pops!

Would like to hear more about your homemade cottage cheese - we eat a lot of it and it's not cheap. Never thought about making my own.

On Fridays during Lent our neighborhood Catholic church does a fish fry.

It's really done well with cod, coleslaw, mac and chees and green beans.

The beans are some like I'd never had before, they're slightly sweet and very tasty.

Well, googled some recipes and it seems they're like these.

Odon in a seasame-miso sauce (also ginger, garlic, soy sauce, chili, sesame oil). Shrimps, soy beans, roasted sweet potato.

It is soupier than it seems, the sauce-broth all pooled at the bottom.

I'm so sorry not to have gotten back to you quicker but I had to write down my recipe. I make my own cottage cheese because down here, 2 cups of horrible, rubbery cottage cheese costs over $8 and I can make the same amount or a little more for less than $2. It is so easy and you just need milk from the dairy case and plain white vinegar.

Its the Mexican Tomato Bouillon  Powder..  good generous addition,  cook 45 mins ish with rice

 

It provides salt also so don't add any.. and Thanks
