Their website proudly boast of  "Carefully removing all the unwanted brain, eyes, head, left with just the cheek for deep fried"

Idiots.

Funny enough for a Singaporean company to have that slogan 😂

Anyway, the shrimp cheeks had so much umami from the deep frying and the salted egg yolk I did not actually miss the brains ...

"Lay's Newest Flavor Is Grilled Cheese And Tomato Soup, So It's About To Get Real Cozy 'Round Here"

Quote

Lay's is constantly outdoing itself with delicious sounding and frankly, sometimes strange chip flavors. But I think its newest flavor is truly the most revolutionary yet. My friends, we're getting Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup-flavored chips this fall.

Please take one for the team and report back if you find them.

You can be sure the folks in Oz do not call it by its proper, too-lengthy name.  🙁

Wow!  Following your links I discovered that See's has a tiny little store near me that is only open on weekends and during the holiday season.  It sounds like everything is pre-packaged.  Do you think it is worth it to give the candy a try?

I remember reading about Marie Callender's actual restaurants when the frozen food came out.  I'm pretty sure that we went to one of them during the short time we lived in Southern California when I was a little girl.  It is exactly the kind of place we would have eaten.  The first thing I ever bought in the store was the - sadly discontinued - cornbread.  I love all cornbread - sweet or savoury and it was sweet and tender and delicious.

Marie Callender's is still around.  They charge an 80 cent deposit on each pie pan and you get it back when you return the empty tin.

Speaking of Lamingtons, a  sixty year old woman died a few days ago after a seizure brought on by choking during a Lamington eating contest on Australia Day. Maybe they were overbaked and dry. Otherwise I don't see how eating 40 lbs of cake as fast as possible could possibly hurt anyone.

As for potato chips I am eternally amazed at what bizarre flavors people will eat.  Not me, I'm very conservative when it comes to chips.
