I hope I shall never again leave the kitchen faucet running into a stoppered sink while I turn my back to it so I can cook my lunch.  Very late lunch. Very full washing machine. Very few available towels.

Ouch! as one regrets pitching the frayed towels up in the cupboard. My overflow was giving tortoise a bath in huge laundry sink. Stoppered. He liked to lounge until water cooled. Meantime  I turned the washer on which expelled into that sink When the soap suds entered the kitchen I freaked. Luckily no lasting harm to Tommy. On the food end I was starving this morning, overloaded my breakfast taco which obscured my hand and took a greedy big bite. Chomped down hard on on my pointer finger. Quite painful.

No blood tonight, however I shall never again expect my anova oven to preheat without turning it on.  By this time anova with all their wifi data mining should know perfectly well what I am thinking.

I will never again re-use a heavy cream bottle for something else without also re-labeling it.  I have no recollection of doing this but can't argue with the reality.

Made an interesting plate of pasta with mushrooms and pancetta and finished the sauce with Amontillado sherry and then a generous splash of eggnog instead of heavy cream. Ooops!

The thinner consistency and yellow-ish color tipped me off and a sniff confirmed the situation.

It was Jeffery Morganthaller's excellent eggnog recipe with the same sherry and añejo tequila.  Not terribly sweet but not exactly what I intended 🙃

I feel your pain...my husband uses flavored creamer for his coffee, but likes to dilute it with half+half. Usually the half+half goes into the flavored creamer bottle, rather than the other way around, but I've learned to check before assuming.

FWIW, we saved one of those shallow plastic bowls from frozen steamer lunches that we use to cover EVERYTHING in the microwave.   A bit of a bore but nothing like cleaning the entire microwave.

I shall never again hemorrhage all over the kitchen floor.  However my timing could not have been more fortuitous!  Amazon reduced the price and tonight I had an iRobot mop delivered.  We shall assay how well the little robot does with blood stains.

I am less sanguine about the formerly white rug in the dining room.

After said incident, you are just plain "less sanguine."

I was eating ice cream, a phone call came in. Knowing that it would be a long call, I put the ice cream back in the freezer.

Finally the call ended. I took the ice cream out to finish.

My tongue got stuck to the spoon. It took a few drinks of hot water to get the spoon off.

I know I shouldn't laugh but it takes me back to the time when I was six years old and tried to lick the ice off the railing at school. No hot water in sight. Rather painful.

My "stay out of the kitchen unril you're awake" moment was pouring orange juice in my coffee instead of milk.    Gross.

What gross me more is that your milk looks like orange juice.

My mother once poured hot coffee into her cereal instead of her cup. She had the grace to laugh. 😄

yes. The fire water treatment would have been faster.

I was trying to yell for help, but I couldn't pronounce the "P" in "help" without the use of my tongue, I was only able to yell "Hell Helll Hellll".

I suffer from aphasia under stress.  Once in a restaurant in Philadelphia the table across from me was burning, and was about to ignite the curtain.  I had no voice.  I couldn't shout, I couldn't make a sound.  I frantically waved my arms till someone saw me.

I will never again empty my Creami pint bowl containing peaches into the Creami outer bowl.  I will never again then put the lid on the outer bowl and run the contents through the spin cycle to roughly chop said peaches.  I will never again have to clean up such a big mess.

I guess I might respond with chagrin...if I could understand what happened to you?  I see that Creami is part of a Ninja ice cream making machine, but that's where my comprehension stops.  But then...I am very old...

The pint bowl has your sorbet/ice cream mixture in it.  It gets placed into the outer bowl  before you spin your mixture.  The outer bowl has holes in it.
