Now you need the companion Jerky Shooter.  While you're at it, order a 2-gun Western rig from El Paso Saddlery and you're all set.

I bought myself a Geedel rotary grater, it suctions onto the counter top and has been a life saver for my poor wrists. I also have a Vidalia chop wizard. Between those two items, I have been able to stop avoiding recipes that involve a lot of chopping or grating. I don't know how to do a "friendly Amazon link" but I recently got a couple of little silicone grid contraptions that fit onto the grid of my Vidalia chopper. They make clean-up even easier.

Unless I got rid of it, I have a chopper thing that looks like that, though may be a different brand. I've never used it and have had it for probably at least 10 years. I'll look around to see if it still lives here.

We have one at home and one in the Princessmobile. I rarely use it, but my darling uses it all the time for chopping onions as well as potatoes. A couple of years ago we figured out that if he diced onions, then potatoes, for his beloved hash that the potatoes essentially cleaned the grids. In both vegetable cases you have to slice the vegetable into rounds first (with a knife) but he finds it quite quick and convenient.

I have a shower mat arriving today to put under the new refrigerator.  The refrigerator door gets stuck on the bedroom rug.  But be careful.  When I've done cooking in the bathroom it trips the circuit breaker.

I bought a bunch of silicone spatulas from Thermoworks the other day when they were 40% off to see if there's one that would be a good sub for my iSi spatulas that are no longer available.  

Sadly, none look as good as that one but some may be serviceable.

From the left are the mini spatula and spoonula.  On the other side of the tape measure are the Spoonula, followed by the small, medium and large spatulas.  That large spatula, that's almost 15" seems like quite the weapon. The spoonula looks most useful, though it's a lot bigger than the iSi slim spatula I'm wanting to replace. 

Cat?  What cat?

Yes, it's a shame about the iSI spatulas. I bought several while they were still available and they're still my favorites. Something about the Thermoworks spatula shape doesn't appeal to me as much, although I like the colors!

Here is the no longer available iSi slim silicone spatula (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) added to the lineup, to the right of the tape measure.  The edges are very thin, which is functionally excellent but if your cat sitter uses them to scoop out the food from pull-top cans, they get nicked, as you can see.

I currently have one of these Mrs. Anderson's baking slim spatula  (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) in my Amazon cart.  I purchased one of these Mastrad silicone slim spatulas (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) a while back but the edges are quite thick and chunky. 

So far, my top contenders are this Tovolo spatula with a stainless handle (eG-friendly Amazon.com link), pretty good with a nice thin edge.  I'd probably use it more if it were red 🙃  I also mentioned previously the Rose Levy Beranbaum graduated spatula (eG-friendly Amazon.com link), which is a touch narrow, but not bad either. 

I'll give that Thermo spoonula a good audition to see how it works.

The thing I like most about them - when I'm doing a trade show - they do an excellent job of cleaning the sides of the bowl of chocolate. Since I don't have water when I'm doing these shows I need to be able to hit the bowl with a heat gun and wipe it clean to continue. The other small ones I have don't - as they aren't flexible enough. The only downside compared to the other small ones I got from the dollar store years ago - is they can't go in the microwave due to the metal shank.
