I'd give it two "likes" if you scraped off the cauliflower.

At my age I don't have to justify my dinner:  a pot of Rancho Gordo Moro beans* enlivened with what @rotuts would denominate DAS.  Georgian walnut sauce (because I can), coleslaw, and hexapartite tomatoes.  Bottle of John Wurdeman's Pheasant's Tears Saperavi 2008.  It all came together.

*spoiler alert:  there are no Moro beans in this month's Bean Club shipment.

Edit:  oh, and I forgot, a bag of Cape Cod potato chips.

One of the things I loved about food in Japan was its presentation, even in the Bento boxes in the food court at the train station. Marvelous. Such artists.

Don't ask. Eat it.

I am roasting a chicken tonight.  If it turns out half as good as yours I will be very happy.  Almost afraid to post it after seeing these photos :)

Tentatively posting roasted chicken with cast iron cooked carrots.  Hate to go after @Shelby but here it goes.

Several of us could divide up the platter and it would make a tasty meal.

Egg noodles are under rated in my opinion.

Warmed-up cheese canneloni takeout from the local Italian joint that I didn't want when we got delivery last night. With extra meat sauce from the kid's ravioli plate. Good, and little effort, but really wasn't what I wanted. Not sure exactly WHAT I wanted, but it wasn't that.

something crunchy like a fresh salad?

Nothing is better than frying in lard.

Nothing.  Do not quote me on this.
