 Very, very late start to a Saturday. Homemade bread (mine)  and homemade butter (a gift).

Was making frittata this morning, it broke into pieces.  Still yummy.  Potatoes, mushrooms, ham, parsley.

I may cringe on a mid-week morning when the doorbell rings at 9:30 and I'm still padding around in slippers, etc. but when it comes to PJs on Sunday AM, there's no judging!

It's been raining since midnight and forecast to change to very heavy rain from 9 AM to 5 PM so my first thought in getting dressed was to choose a nice fresh set of PJs.

Oh, and breakfast?  Another slice of the spinach and artichoke quiche from yesterday.

I am concerned. This is two breakfasts with no zucchini. Are you OK?

We went to lunch at Foxwoods Casino yesterday (lobster bisque, grilled oysters and bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp) and then to the local brewery for growler fills and never made it to the store. I had to make due, but tomorrow is another day.

This morning I stuffed an omelet with a corn and red  pepper dish from last night.  There is something I like in the combo of eggs and corn

  Although inspired by a recipe on Food52 for a spinach and cheese rarebit, without some ale I prefer to think of it as a cheese and spinach toastie.

@HungryChris

Whew.  My world is at last settling back into some sort of normality.   I doubt you can fix everything but this is a good start.

I held back a piece of cod from dinner last night, as I felt it would have been too much. I decided to slice it up and bread it with the zucchini (flour, egg wash and seasoned bread crumbs) with breakfast. Of course, by now, you must also know how I feel about bruschetta as well.

Oatmeal with blueberries, grated apple, cinnamon and nutmeg.

I need to make Oatmeal more often.  It is so easy to make in Instant Pot.  I have steel cut oats that were recently purchased 1/2 price since container was dented (not open, not punctured, just dented).  I love those deals!

Savoury oatmeal/cheat's congee, with oats cooked in chicken stock till soft and then topped with green onion, white pepper, salted leek flower sauce, Lao Gan Ma black bean and Sichuan peppercorn chilli oil, crispy shallots, soy sauce and a nice dollop of snowy duck fat to melt in and make it all silky.

These eggs were supposed to be over easy, but a phone call at the worst possible moment put the kiebash on that and of course they are the last two in the house!
