Grilled gochujang pork tenderloin with a slaw of jicama and green apple tossed with Asian condiments.  Cherry gochujang dipping sauce.

Linguine with halibut and zucchini - first you make a tomato sauce with caramelized onions, garlic, carrots, tomatoes and thyme. Then you mix it with sautéed zucchini, red onion, white wine and diced halibut and gently cook it for about 10 minutes. Finish by mixing with linguine and parsley.

They look like the chipolatas we have in France - long and skinny. Never heard of a Cumberland chipolata, but from I read online Cumberland sausage is meant to be peppery.

Little one had a couple of friends over for games & fun. While I was dozing off upstairs I heard him announce „Why don’t you stay for dinner, my dad cooks whatever you like“ 😱

 

That could have been technically correct, but as everyone had something different in mind and the wishes ranged from spinach lasagna to Schnitzel I had to find a common denominator: bacon cheeseburger with fries.

And after the troops were fed, my bueger using this odd (and oddly delicious) raspberry chipotle sauce I recently unearthed from our basement.

No complaints. Except that the mom of one of the kids called this morning to „jokingly“ invite herself next time as well 😎

1 part sugar

1 part MSG

2 parts sweet paprika

2 parts smoked paprika

1 part Sri Lankan unroasted curry powder (or any other flavorful curry)

1 part garlic powder

Potato salad, green salad, chicken thigh.  All salads, all the time, as it's kinda HOT.


Are those chicken thighs getting even smaller ..?

With roast potatoes or fries I like a paprika-laced aioli. Great idea to combine sweet and smoked paprika. It never occurred to me to simply flavor the salt. Sounds yummy.

Both. They have blocks that are ready to slice and presliced. I prefer the unsliced as we like our sashimi a bit thicker than their standard thickness.  Last night, they only had 1 block of unsliced yellowtail so we settled for one presliced.

 

Their fish quality is very good with a great price. The NZ King salmon is like fish butter.

as word spreads via his peers 

 

that Dad is a Muti-Started chef , short, medium and long order Cook of course .

 

bookings are going to be tight , and orders will be placed well in advance 

 

giving you ample time for gathering the proper ingredients 

 

@Shelby  and I , of course , wouldn't mind offering our services 

 

to test  things out , and assure a quality result

Indian-is dinner :

Ive made this before , and posted an early version

 

TJ's Nan-ish  passed over the gas burners

 

base is TJ's spinach , lightly micro'd just to barely wilt.

 

this version had camper tomatoes , sauerkraut and kimchi along the rim

 

TJ's Lamb vindaloo . rice over the spinach , the lamb

 

garnish window green onions and red onions ,  TJ's walnut pieces.
