Sorry - I'm confused - is my attitude good or bad?

Good! Good!  I’m sorry I confused you. It was your willingness to realize that you could travel in your imagination and not be held down by our current situation.

We too had homemade wontons! (ground pork, waterchestnuts, shrimp)
Added shrimp roe noodles, chicken stock, and broccoli.

Good comfort soup after hubby had minor day surgery yesterday.

Your wontons look great; do you make the skins?

Gosh..no...that's be like work!
I buy packages of the thin wrappers for soup. The thicker ones work best for deep-fried wontons.

My daughter found this at Costco and texted me a photo. I said I was willing to try it. Sounded good to me.

So I fried a little up with some  beet greens and some tomatoes.

Don’t be tempted - unless you fancy ham-flavoured sawdust. Even simply sliced and put on a sandwich without any additional cooking it has the most peculiar texture. Happy to hear other opinions if anyone else has tried this product.

A pasta bake with sour cream, spring onion, parsley and garlic, With a buttery and crisp breadcrumbs topping.

This is a recipe my mother used to make quite often when I was a child, and I still make it at least once a year.

Another smoked Winnipeg Goldeye lunch with sprouted grain bread and seaweed salad. Lots of small fine bones, so really paid attention to my lunch!

The 4 year dark cloud is gone, congrats!  Perhaps my self imposed US travel ban can now be lifted!
