When I make an omelet NOT for a sandwich, I like them fluffy and beat a lot of air into the eggs.  Sandwich "omelets", on the other hand are just eggs that are dumped into a pan, stirred up a little and then allowed to cook

Same for me, in a sandwich I put a a flat omlete with cheese. I also love fluffy scrumbled eggs in a pita, with some tomatoes or feta.

Buns!

Home made pork and shiitake buns. With a hot chilli sauce dip.

By the way,  I do like my little dip bowl things.

They have an inbuilt chopstick rest. Because chewing is so tiring!

Actually  I ate eight buns, but out of a sense of decorum, probably misplaced, I photographed only four.

Grabbed a sausage and biscuit from the donut shop on the way back from the farmers' market. Disappointing. I had been looking forward to one from the food truck that's normally there.

Japanese rice soup again but this time with leftover broth from yesterday’s nabe with a few inclusions and an egg.  Comfort food and comfortably inelegant.

I worked very hard this morning to prepare a breakfast worthy of being posted as well as being eaten. All went well…… right up till the end…

The hash began with some Father’s Bacon Seasoning (a lovely gift) followed by some onions and then by some cubed cooked potatoes.  The hash was carefully arranged on the thoughtfully chosen plate and then topped with the badly abused egg.

A sad specimen of a tamagoyaki with a side of carrot kinpira (soy sauce simmered carrots). Until you’ve tried making one of these rolled omelets...... (Perhaps I should increase my order of 2 dozen eggs to 10 dozen eggs.)

No charge for the ants! I love these plates!

Duh!  I am so slow sometimes. I just realized that the ants are a pattern on the plate. :S
