This came in my mail today.  It is Saveur: The New Classics Cookbook, Kindle Edition.  It is $1.99.  The Kindle edition has 1544 pages so there ought to be something for everyone.

It does not appear to be on sale at Amazon.com

I did not post this for the US Amazon because it has been posted here in the past (2018). It was recently on sale but is not currently on sale any longer.

If it goes on sale in the US Amazon again, I will repost it for those who may have missed it previously.

Bought it. Maybe I'll use the Kindle version. The dead tree version was a bit unwieldy for me.

Harrumph. I just finished downloading my extensive cookbook library to a new device, and when I saw the cookbook count I decided to diligently avoid this topic. "No more e-cookbooks for a while!" I said to myself. But this book, unwieldy though it is, has been a favorite among my dead-tree books and it's too heavy to carry along. I bought it.

Thanks, I think. :hmmm:

What was it?

Not a cookbook and on topic only in the realm of food photography:  The Friedman Archives Guide to Sonys [sic] A7R III Kindle Edition.  I have an an insanely complicated camera that I can't figure out how to use.

Good one from BookBub today:

Spice: Flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean (eGullet-friendly Amazon link) $1.99 in the US store

This is the first cookbook from Ana Sortun, the chef at Oleana in Cambridge, MA; one of my favorite restaurants and the cookbook really brings the same flavors home.

It was on sale. Alas, not anymore.

From my BookBub email from this morning:

"Bones: Recipes, History and Lore" Kindle Edition $1.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature and scroll all the way down to see a few recipes.
Looks like measurements are Imperial and Metric.

A new month, new bargain-priced offerings...

Use the "Look Inside" feature and scroll down to see recipes.

Restaurateur & Actor Danny Trejo's "Trejo's Tacos: Recipes and Stories from L.A.: A Cookbook" Kindle Edition $1.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)

  • 2 weeks later...

Three (or is it two?) cookbooks from the Williams-Sonoma line found this afternoon:

"One Pot of the Day: 365 Recipes for Every Day of the Year (Williams-Sonoma)" Kindle Edition $2.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature to see recipes.
Looks like measurements are Metric and Imperial.

"Vegetable of the Day: 365 Recipes for Every Day of the Year (Williams-Sonoma)" Kindle Edition $2.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)

Use the "Look Inside" feature to see recipes.
Looks like measurements are Metric and Imperial.

For some unknown reason, they didn't use the Williams-Sonoma name with the next cookbook like they did in the titles of the above two cookbooks.

Yet, if you use the "Look Inside" feature, there it is in the opening pages of this cookbook. Odd.

"Everyday Slow Cooking: Modern Recipes for Delicious Meals" Kindle Edition $2.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature to see recipes.
Looks like measurements are Metric and Imperial.

I am a US Prime member and the price you see may vary.

Some finds from this morning's perusal...

It's like trying to find Waldo in the "Where's Waldo?" books...

Another William-Sonoma cookbook where it's not advertised as such. But when you use the "Look Inside" feature you see their name/logo on the first few pages. Again, just an odd thing...
"The Breakfast Bible: 100+ Favorite Recipes to Start the Day" Kindle Edition $2.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the index of recipes.
Looks like both Metric and Imperial measurements.

"Small Bites: Skewers, Sliders, and Other Party Eats" Kindle Edition $1.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the list of recipes.

"Sheet Pan: Delicious Recipes for Hands-Off Meals" Kindle Edition $1.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
There is a recipe for "MUSHROOM & GRUYÈRE TART WITH HAZELNUT HARICOTS VERTS" on this cookbook's Amazon info page.
Use the "Look Inside" feature to see the list of recipes.
Looks like both Metric and Imperial measurements.

I stumbled across this cookbook this afternoon:

Mary Berry's "Fast Cakes: Easy bakes in minutes" Kindle Edition $0.99US (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)
Use the "Look Inside" feature and scroll down to see some recipes.
Note that the measurements are Metric and Imperial.
The recipes are also very British. For example, some recipes call for "Baking Spread". Google says that in the US that would be margarine.
Note that there are quite a few British Bake-Off cookbooks and other Bake-Off-related cookbooks currently on sale on Amazon.

I am a US Prime member ad the price you see may vary.
