You've all seen this before but I figure the internet can never have to many pictures of kittens... or poached eggs xD!

Poached egg on toasted olive bread.

You can keep the kittens, but I'll have the poached eggs.

Must make some olive bread tomorrow.

My breakfast this morning was a presentation disaster.

IMG_1259.jpg

The duck egg just didn't want to play fair! I knew it was too old to poach, but I thought it would fry better than this. Then I found the only bread I had was a very un-photogenic crust at the end of the last loaf I baked. The blood sausage worked out fine.

All that said, it tasted OK.

More bread is under way. One in the oven and another batch of dough in the fridge to be baked on Friday. I'm away for a couple of days.

We are not eating our ham fast enough, so a couple of weekends ago I insisted we had a take on Spain - lots of ham, good bought sourdough, a smear of butter and tasty crushed passata that I usually use for pizza. Two thumbs up :)

was the CRT from Tj's ?      looks really really good !

Yes.  TJ's Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

As I mentioned over in the TJ's thread, it seems to differ from the Cinnamon Roll Bread that was recently discussed over there.

Out here on the left coast, we have either Cinnamon Swirl bread (no raisins) or Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

scrapple doesn't get place it deserves on eG I think :

Scrapple.jpg

some scrapple on the Burton.  it should be cut thick enough so the outside can brown and be crispy with a soft center.  these might even be better a little more

crispy.  if properly cooked, a few might change their mind.

Egg Brat.jpg

soft scrambled eggs on sour dough toast  with 'Brats'

Pennzey's as an outstanding Bratwurst seasoning.  it better, its from WI

I just sprinkle a little B.S. ( o.O ) on the toast and then the eggs on top

tastes like there are some Brats on the plate somewhere !

no really good sausage to be had in my area

Thank you! Just a little parsley and green onion (no celery or green pepper) to keep it healthy!

maybe some lightly sautéed spinach w garlic would have been fine.

I really never considered spinach or really any green food item except for possibly chives/green onions to be a breakfast item! I love eating most of them with minor exceptions but just look at is that I'm a breakfast item.
