Truffled gorgonzola sold under a couple of different brand names in Alberta and BC has been recalled for listeria. It's a really limited recall, because the cheeses in question were sold only in Calgary and Fernie (as far as we know thus far) but still...

Pertinent to that huge recall of infant/toddler food a little while ago:

A big one, nationally: some batches of Quaker Harvest Crunch, granola bars, and Cap'n Crunch "treat bars" are being recalled for potential salmonella.

Yesterday's granola recall has now hit its second wave. A raft of parfait and yogurt bowls made and sold in the Loblaw's and Sobeys chains have also been recalled, because they were made with that same granola.

Okay, Ontario peeps, this is a small one but who knows, right? The summer sausages from Bauman's Country Meat Shop in Dobbinton are being recalled for listeria. Dunno if any of you live close enough that this would be a threat, but better safe than sorry.

Here's a much bigger one: "Mexican street corn" salads, sold under the President's Choice and Taylor Farms names, are being recalled for possible listeria.

This one currently affects Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and New Brunswick, but of course these can sometimes expand. The product is Rojo's 6-Layer Black Bean Dip, and like the corn salad just up-thread it's being recalled for Listeria (and is related to a US recall).

I'm not sure if we have anybody currently in Saskatchewan, but there's been a recall of eggs (including Sobeys "Compliments" brand) for salmonella.

Taylor Farms' "Mexican Street Corn" salad kits are being recalled for salmonella. Currently known to impact provinces from Ontario east, though that could change pending further updates.

Seems to me that the words "salad kit" are a giveaway.  Certainly keeps us from buying ready-to-eat processed foods, were we so inclined.

Might be useful if they included vendor info.

Ive also has these from time to time.

Ill stick to their Thai Shrimp Gyoza

excellent from Fz in the AirFryer

I actually prefer the ones at Costco that are called "juicy" rather than "soup".  We happened to have both in the freezer awhile back and were able to taste them side by side.  The Costco ones (brand name Bibigo, I think) had thinner wraps, the filling was more tender and they were nearly as soupy as the TJ ones.

Some brands of ground cinnamon may contain harmful amounts of lead and should be thrown out. The FDA is also asking relevant distributors to conduct voluntary recalls. FDA announcement.

I've never heard of those particular brands, but because of the presence of the Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Sav-A-Lot stores, I'm thinking that this is the bottom of the barrel, poorest quality cinnamon.  It seems like so often people who need to economize and are the most vulnerable are the ones who get taken advantage of.
