Wrong thinking.

1 )    pull the trigger now. as its a very good deal , will not be repeated any time soon

2)   Let The Box , as it did to me , Speak To You ,  later.

3)   done.

No Jibber-Jabber . Fiddle-Faddle ,  just Done.

I saw this today, and it occurred to me that I hadn't seen this thread updated in a while. Didn't realize it had been two years... has it been y'all powering Amazon's stock price this whole time? (...bunch of enablers...) :P

I haven't found anything cooking-wise that I had to have or that I thought was a fantastic deal.  Ive spent a chunk of change but that was on "the usual" type stuff-glasses cleaner, collagen, rice, etc. Nothing exciting by any stretch.

Prime Day is not what it used to be.

Back then the discounts were good ones , designed to  boost traffic at the site

thus seriously boosting AMZN's stock price.

and then the Swells cashed in their Options.

These days , mostly to clear away junk.

think back to the deals on hot items , like the iPots.

year in and year out for a few years.

Im with Rotus.   Prime day used to be a big deal, particularly just before Christmas.   Now it’s the same stuff over and over, mostly junk

I recently decided I wanted to replace the Keurig K-Compact I take on vacations (too bulky) with their K-Express. I spotted it for 50% off and snapped one up.

Like many, I don't play the discount game much. But just delivered today a new paring knife. I have a half dozen I've had for years....a favorite I've had since college from a thrift store. Recently left one with a cracked handle at a Vrbo beach rental by mistake. Not much knowledge about the maker but the price was nice and the hand hold is excellent. image.thumb.png.c17a72338e7c484277c3b04dac3ba29e.png

I scored two Prime deals:  a replacement kitchen soap dispenser for me, and a Di ORO spatula set as a present for a friend.

It saddens me that no one went for the fantastic price on the GE Profile Indoor Smoker.

I thought long and hard. But I really don't have a good place to put it. My Rotuts-approved tube smoker does everything I need.

And I easily smoke outdoors.  There is no lack of outdoors around here. 🫠

As cool as the indoor smoker is, your tube smoker is not dependent on electricity or a phone app, and will never need a firmware update.🙂

I thought for ten seconds about springing for a Vitamix, which was seriously discounted yesterday, but the truth is I use a Ninja bullet thing for smoothies and find that the Bamix immersion blender works great for creamed or blended soups. So my haul for Prime days was, to say the least, modest. The Sciara pistachio cream I like was reduced. My favorite cotton socks were heavily discounted, so I bought a pack of those. So,no  serious investment that challenges my counter space. I can't bear spending time scrolling for deals. Usually I'm glad when Prime Day is over.

I did end up buying 2 diOro spatula sets.  One to replace some at home, another in lavendar for the camping kitchen kit - there'll be no spatulas confused as to where they live.
