Well I just had a peek after one and a half hours and I think it needs more so I plunked it back in the oven for a bit. 

 

 

Perhaps there was a reason for suggesting that the watermelon be cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes.

Yeah that's not near done.  The watermelon will look like tomatoes.

 

I like the bigger cubes, though.  More goodness to eat.

You can see what mine looked like here.   It definitely cooks down once you take the lid off.

Lunch was just a piece of toasted rye bread with some sliced leftover steak and lots of horseradish. I’m just being prepared in the event that I am DCD tonight. Designated Cocktail Drinker if Kery doesn’t like her cocktail.  Two cocktails on an empty stomach and I am a danger to humankind.

Here in Thornhill we have somehow dodged every rain shower in the past week, even with these 40 degree (w/ humidex) days.

Sunsets are indeed a special thing.  One of the very few things I miss from living at our loft at Yonge and Sheppard on the 20th floor facing North / East / West - the most unreal sunsets.

Picnic Island is the one with the ruins on it. The submarine is the dock - water is really, really high!
