for a while in the 80's , roquefort was quite chee-chee on burgers .

tasty , but all you tasted was the roquefort.  nothing really wrong w that , but :

I lived in Spain for 2 years growing up , and thus I love boquerones.

I would never order any burger with any sort of bleu cheese, though I suppose people like it (just not me).  At one of their sister restaurants (Cervo's), they offer a lamb burger, with the potential to add anchovies.

Is it worth getting all the ingredients ? Reading the recipe it feels like a slightly overspiced Frikadelle, but I am inclined to give it a go upon your recommendation …

Indeed it is!  It's been my default burger recipe for a few years now.

While partner was unsuccessful turkey hunting (its really too late in the season to be honest), he did bring home some fish.

So, walleye with lentils and a "Mexican" quinoa. (Quinoa because his nutritionist wants him to eat more grains and since I'm gluten free by necessity, options are limited). At 50, was his first quinoa ever, he didn't hate it.

I'll take any quinoa ideas/recipes that you think are fantastic!

Well, I made it and I wasn't terribly impressed.

It might have been the beef that I get down here. However, later that week I made Frikadelle using the same beef and your recipe and it was delicious. No pics. It got eaten too quickly.

I wanted Shakshuka but Ronnie doesn't care for it so I made a small one for me--I figured he'd end up eating some so I did three eggs.  He made poached eggs for himself and then stole one of mine.  He still claims not to like it lol sigh.

We had strip loins one night and then made fajitas the next night with the leftovers. No plated photos though.

Glad I hadn't been able to access these pages. I just got home after a 4 week stay in the hospital. surgery and recovery from chronic subdural hematoma. The food in the hospital was better than expected, and not a single meal repeated. The only thing I missed was fresh veg. When the dietician asked if I wanted anything special. I said vegetables. Then I had double portions of peas, or mixed vegtables, etc. I had my very FIRST Tuna Casserole! Added some of my cream of mushroom soup really helped as it was rather gooey!
After I got home, I craved ramen and veg! Had some store-bought pork dumplings, shrimp, Nappa cabbage and packs of Ramen

More stamina next day: Oven baked ribs, and fiddleheads!

And a friend brought me Red Velvet cake!RedVelvetcake.thumb.jpg.abbb1159e75a87a69d9c30c025f03efc.jpg
Took  a break last night and ordered out for pizza and chicken Caesar salad.

I'm so glad you're home and doing well. I was beginning to wonder when I hadn't seen anything from you for so long.

Have you seen the potato prices in Costa Rica? Actually, I'm not much of a fan of fried potatoes. I make them for Carlos because he loves them. And I had the tail end of a package of tots and the tail end of a package of french fries.

If you enlarge it and look very closely I think there's a ninth fry hiding underneath.

Pizza night …

DW came back from running a bit too late (likely there was running plus gossiping), so all three pizzas were done already, yet still warm to hot (thanks, 0.5 inch steelplate 💪).

Top: Speziale - salami, ham, mushrooms. Bottom: Tyrol - sour cream as a base, potato, onion, air-cured sausage.

IMG_6148.thumb.jpeg.3a8c2b7af1bcf54d855989222b8b0bf3.jpeg

Vesuvio - spicy fennel salami, mushrooms, fresh mozz & chili flakes.

Because it was close to bedtime for little one, we opted for two episodes of Futurama instead of a full movie.

No complaints 🤗

@Shelby that is so true. My husband absolutely refused to eat stroganoff. He hated it, but for years he happily ate my beef and mushrooms in gravy with sour cream. It was one of his favorite dishes.
