Chocdoc Does Dallas

Excuse the title - couldn't resist!

Kat - who works with @Alleguede - is accompanying me to the Dallas Chocolate Festival, where we will have a table to show off the EZtemper. It could prove interesting as it doesn't seem a very organized show. I asked what my table number was (both to arrange electricity and do some targeted advertising) and was told that I should bring my own power cord and that I'd be along the back wall next to 'so and so  - therefore easy to find! Not giving me that warm and fuzzy feeling that it's going to be a good use of my advertising dollars.

Anyway - Kat and I are in the lounge at the Toronto airport awaiting boarding. They have food and booze here! Little early for the booze though. So I am enjoying a latte and some edamame, cous cous and a tomato, cucumber and spinach salad. All quite tolerable.

Won't be using the WIFI on the plane since it's a short flight and not worth paying - so will check back in on arrival in Dallas.

Oh my :S

I know it's a fair ways from Houston, but hopefully the hurricane situation doesn't keep people away.  Good luck!

Apparently for a small fee I can get 30 min of internet (I can get 1 gig for 7 days on my MIFI for a couple of dollars more) so I'll show you lunch. Looking forward to dinner at Pecan Lodge!

How was avocado margarita?  It sounds less sweet than the usual kind.

She really liked it and she was hesitant going in!

Ah!  Cochinita Pibil.  A McAuley family favorite.  How wonderful.

Was very tender and quite delicious.

Habanero sauce - tasted but not given a lot of love

Too fiery or just not very tasty?

It's kinda like wrestling a gorilla... you don't stop when you're tired, you stop when the gorilla is tired.

Will have to post food from lunch later - didn't post

Tonight at the chocolate show there is a happy hour for vendors and then a preview - there is going to be a cakewalk.
