@Shel_B, congrats on the good results. Doesn't sound like fun, though.

Thanks for your congrats.  Actually, the exam was a bit of fun as I got to see and experience the new, high-tech devices and techniques used for such exams.  And everyone I encountered - doctors, receptionist, and billing folks - were friendly, pleasant, professional, and punctual.  The waiting or reception area was light, airy, and comfortable, and had a great view of the city and the hills. And plenty of free parking right by  the entrance door. 👍

there is a discussion of P4's .   I had to get some .  2 - 3 , w a 4th just in case .

TJ's had these :

these are clearly not authentic P4's.  and we at eG love authentic .

authentic would have to have pastel frosting , and some sort of jam in the middle layer.

well , these are going to have to do , and are no doubt better.

I'd go for those! Please give us an interior shot when you cut into them! (Unless it's already too late? 😉)

first :  these P4's have the right amount of icing .  key    a lot.

the R was chocolate , and perfect

middle was Maple , and was this Sooooooo good .  lots pf maple and frosting

the L  was Lemon.  did not have as high hopes for this vs chocolat

but was surprised again :  lemony , and plenty of frosting.

I've not seen this before today. I grabbed one and may try it for dinner tonight. My favorite buzz words: spicy, Calabrian, smoked, sausage, grilled, peppers ... be still, my fibrillating heart.

I finally got around to trying the pizza for lunch today, and in general, I liked it.  I have to get the baking time adjusted as it came out a bit over baked, but the topping and the spiciness were pretty good.

I blended some fresh grated Reggiano and Pecorino, mixed in some fresh ground Kashmiri and Calabrian peppers along with some finely flaked Turkish Aleppo, and generously sprinkled it over the pie after removing it from the Breville.  Overall, a nice enhancement to a pretty decent topping.

I'll definitely buy another one and continue playing with the baking time/temp.

Big PASS for me on the TJ's Movie Theater Popcorn.  Flavors OK, people seem to rave about it.  But there are some tooth breakers hiding in the bags.  Super hard pieces that masquerade as popped pieces.  BEWARE.

I still love the white cheddar popcorn, it's delicious and I've never encountered a dangerous kernal.

My local store says the Bleu Cheese Potato Chips were a seasonal item only and will not be back. There was some degree of internet mixed reaction to these, but I became addicted. Gonna need some counseling.

I never quite understood buying previously popped popcorn.  I find it fairly easy and quick to make, and I only make stovetop popcorn. And then I can sprinkle it with whatever feels good at the time.

It's been a while since I went to a movie, let alone ate movie popcorn. Since the pandemic I just got out of the habit. And now my eyesight is compromised and I haven't the nerve to find out just how bad it is when it comes to a big screen. I'm convinced nothing is better than stove-top home-popped. I don't know what's in microwave popcorn, but I really don't like that smell. I confess to an expensive habit: buying the red popcorn from Rancho Gordo. It's delicious and there are almost no unpopped kernels. Not only is it pricier by the pound than many other options, but the size of the pop is modest.  As splurges go, it's low impact.

I mix the Rancho Gordo red with classic Orville 50:50, some get a nice full bowl with plenty of that delicious red.  Sometimes I’ll even throw in some local blue popping corn for the hell of it.

I also pop with butter and oil, or duck fat and and oil…mmmmm duck fat!

I'm with you on the smell of microwave popcorn. It was a quick study snack for my daughters in uni. One time, one of them burnt the m/w popcorn and I swear that smell lingered through our entire house for a week!
