Wondering which blogs are favored among egulleters, and any other top pick lists, in addition to the ones listed that received notice in Forbes best food blogs and Gourmet of course.

Personally some of my favorites are:

http://101cookbooks.com/

For the Forbes and Gourmet list:

I see that others have mentioned their own blogs, so if that's OK, here is the address of my relatively new (6 weeks) blog with an emphasis on seasonal cooking in Rhode Island. http://www.littlecomptonmornings.blogspot.com/

Has anyone been to Food Porn Watch? I have it bookmarked and daily visit several blogs from there. There are hundreds with direct links. It seems it is updated hourly with new postings. It is definately my favorite and I have browsed countless interesting blogs that have taken me all around the workd and through every cultural eating experience imaginable.

Would love to hear others opinions and faves.

I whistfully mentioned how I missed sushi. Truly horrified, she told me "you city folk eat the strangest things!", and offered me a freshly fried chitterling!

Lobstersquad is very creative with Mediterranean flair and beautiful original watercolors created by the blogger

Any dish you make will only taste as good as the ingredients you put into it. If you use poor quality meats, old herbs and tasteless winter tomatoes I don’t even want to hear that the lasagna recipe I gave you turned out poorly. You're a cook, not a magician.

If we're OK to promote our own blogs, I invite you to read mine, http://vinotas.blogspot.com/

It follows me as I drink/eat my way through the world as a wine broker. I offer readers my thoughts and bring them along for my adventures.

Basically, you are there as I taste through hundreds of wines a day, but at least your teeth don't get black.

Cheers!

Mine is mostly about detailed restaurant reviews, in French and English -- born and raised in Paris, it is mostly about French, Michelin-starred restaurants and I try to give a sense of the singularity of each top restaurant rather than a ranking or a mere opinion -- why to choose them, what you can expect, and how to best enjoy them.

I also write about basic cooking techiques (e.g. boiling potatoes or frying mushrooms) that I learnt from top chefs.

Some of my favorite food blogs include:

Deep End Dining

Delicious Days

Chez Pim

Also, I recently started Gobbl, a food blogging social network to document some of my culinary experiences around New York City. If you appreciate great food-related editorial content, food photography, and live in New York City, you should definitely consider joining :wink:I Like to Eats is my personal blog page. Feel free to check it out!

Happy blogging, everyone!

Sex is good, but not as good as fresh, sweet corn.

I wholeheartedly recommend Lobstersquad blog, too. Her writing is really good, her stories about life in Spain are entertaining, and her illustrations are absolutely stunning. Plus she draw the logo for my own little foodblog  , and I had a chance to meet her this summer in Estonia. Wonderful person as well!

http://everythingandnothing.typepad.com/mi...rink/index.html

I was running a search on something I cant remember this am and came across this site packed with lots of fun stuff...

Highlights:

"The bhut jokola - or ghost chili - was recognized recently as the spiciest chili in the world by the Guiness World Records."

"Summer Express: 101 Simple Meals Ready in 10 Minutes or Less"

"Knock off recipe of Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino"

"Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, Oregon, has a cult following because of their wonderfully weird doughnuts. The one that caught my attention is this glazed doughnut rolled in Crunch Berries cereal."

"All kinds of Bento Lunch Boxes in new innovative shapes"

"The Amazing Ice Cream of the Month Club"

"20 ounce Sundia's Watermelon Juice in bottles"

"3 fun ice cube trays"

"Grits Bits offers bite-size biscuits (and other products) made with grits in flavors like cheddar, jalapeno, vidalia onion and sweet cream butter."

"Stainless Steel Chinese Food boxes w/matching chopsticks"

"A STRAWBERRY TREE You MUST see to believe"

"This Wine Essence kit is based upon international studies that have identified nine principal components of wine. <snip> The kit includes nine essences—sweet, bitter, sour, smooth, acetic, flowery, fruity, oak and tannin—individually bottled"

"Professional cheese knife set"

And that is only 1/3rd of the pages highlights!

Check it out. Its a great page...

Wawa Sizzli FTW!

Now THAT is cool. Thanks for posting, G. R.

An example of the Internet as inspiration. (Like the Potted Meat Products tribute pages. Or the Destruct-O-Tron, proof that those disintegration rays and stuff in science fiction aren't all unrealistic. That page is from madcap adult UK physics hobbyists who demonstrate that, for instance, strong enough magnetic pulses can crush cans, shrink coins, and make teabags explode ...)
