Lalo's Cacahuate Beans with Pico de Gallo from Cool Beans with flatbread from The Cook You Want To Be.

This is a very flavorful pot o'beans.  I had a bit of an issue with the cellophane-like texture of some of the dried chiles in the sofrito used to flavor the beans so I will be more careful about old chiles in the future and blend the sofrito if it happens again. I had the same breakfast yesterday and probably will have it again tomorrow.

I had my toast with fried peameal and tomato.

I'm just realizing how deprived I've been for all the years I haven't been able to find peameal bacon.

I've never really cared much for breakfast food except for this.    You might get sick of my breakfast posts.

Mr. Kim stopped by a wonderful bakery near his office yesterday and brought home these Japanese milk bread rolls:

But you may be sick of my beans!

Today with pico de gallo, pickled onion, avocado and a flatbread.  Topped with a fried duck egg.

A quite confusing to the eye breakfast because of the plate design. Anyway it was toast with labneh and Brussel sprouts with green onions … egg on the side

@Ann_T - those are some gorgeous biscuits.  I believe that you've earned honorary Southern Lady status with those!

I just had toast this morning:

As long as there's raisin bread in the house, I'm going to be having it at least once a day!

Too bad for Moe that I hate raisins.  He would love your bread.

From my Portuguese haul, seems ages ago. This is my second tin of this fish. I'm not convinced that Ray is delectable. Light and delicate in texture and flavour, almost absent. If I add pepper or chilli oil, I'm tasting pepper or chilli oil rather than the ray. I wish I could like it but... It's a shame about Ray.

@Ann_T I have to disagree with you on those oxtails. They always taste better the next day.

Salmon 'tail', egg, first of the season beet green and red lettuce, dill, chives, Italian parsley and a shot of sriracha to wake things up on a toasted WW bagel. With tomatoes and mini cucumber.

Had planned on making Greek for dinner last night, but postponed it until this morning.

Moe had grilled Greek baby back ribs with a Greek salad rice and Greek potatoes.
All the traditional sides served in the Greek Restaurants in Toronto's Greek Town. Love double carb meals.
I'm taking the same to work for lunch.

Your ribs and salad look great. I can't fathom rice and potatoes, although the lemon potatoes at a local place make my heart sing and my husband will happily eat both

Woke up to 5 C. and a blue sunrise and it looks like we're in for a high of 17 C. with sun and cloud so a great day to get some garden construction done and a walk in the woods.

Egg with a sprinkling of green onion tops, blood sausage, toasted WW bagel, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and house peameal bacon.

It'll probably be 8-9 hours before I get hungry.

Ras el Hanout Roasted Cauliflower  with Mashed Chickpeas from Tenderheart.

The cauliflower gets tossed with ras el hanout and olive oil before roasting.  Chickpeas get mashed into a lemony tahini dressing.  All served on a bed of arugula with tomatoes and warmed up yogurt flatbread.
