Thanks for your posts. Please try and make tea (in a mug) -- something I currently use my microwave to do. Google is not helping me find out if this machine can boil water.

Will do, but please be patient.  I’m more focused on my Cajun Fryer today and doing an Anti Rain

dance!

Thanks. FWIW, I have a microwave oven about the same size as the F. Blümlein. Looks like the F. Blümlein can do everything the microwave is currently being used to do except make water for tea.

That thing is huge.

It would just fit on the counter where my CSO is now.

Edit:  but at 55 pounds, getting it there could be a problem.

It came inside a plastic bag.  I was able to lift it out of the box by grabbing the bag, and resting it on the box til I had a better grip.

It is awkward to walk with this, but a 70YO semi-muscular man can do it!

I am more than 70, I am not semi-muscular, I am not a man.  Still, I'd give it a thought if we ever receive another stimulus.  What I'd like to know is how accurate is the temperature and how precisely can the temperature be set.  (Might be in the manual, but if so I didn't see it.)

So yes it can be done. My first attempt fell a bit short as you can see.  I don’t think that this is the best use of the steam oven.

I'll need a day or two to get up to speed with this, but I'll test it and report back.

Maybe you can hire a 70YO semi-muscular man.

Thank you for the experiment. Not the best use of the steam oven, why? Because of the time it took to get the tea hot? (Water boils in my microwave before 2:22 minutes/seconds).

IF you want quick water heating for tea, get a dedicated kettle.  If you don't have counterspace to devote to a kettle, get one of these  and store it in your tea mug when it is not in use.

Or you could get a kama and heat it over charcoal.

Getting Vac'd sounds like excellent protection in a pandemic!  Unfortunately I do not fit in my Polyscience.
