I've just requested a return on this. I'm sick with the Flu and spent most of yesterday trying to make the App work. Nothing I did was successful. Customer service was no help. Good luck to you all with the Anova.

I was unable to reach them by phone, so sent an email requesting the refund at 12:23. At 1:56 they had refunded the difference. Thumbs up for a quick response.

Just received an email from Anova with "Early Black Friday" sales. I popped another APO in the cart and the price is @ $37 less than the one purchased last Thursday. Too late to call them today, but we'll have a chat in the morning. I expect them to reduce the price.

I had a similar experience. We purchased a new Heat Pump on Monday, then I decided to buy the Anova late Thursday. My first purchase attempt was declined by my Apple card. I replied to their text and tried again with the same result. About 30 minutes of "Customer Support" and the charge was approved. I now have a tracking number and hope it makes it up the hill before Thanksgiving. It will be an "upgrayedd" from my F. Blumlein I hope.

You said that you didn’t have a baking steel. This could work. Only you can answer whether you need it.

Baking Steel Griddle While not perfectly sized, this would fit. I just tested mine and the fit is perfect front to back. You'd have about 1.75" space on either side. I've just emailed the Baking Steel folks to ask for one properly sized. I'll let you know what they reply.

I opened mine that way. A lot easier to maneuver the inner box.

Climate plays a part in this. It is currently 39F up on my hill. I wouldn't try firing up my MAK 2 Star in this weather. Not enough insulation to maintain heat for a cook. I'm thinking about a Kamado Joe next Spring. They have even introduced a Pellet Joe.

What do you use to clean the cooktop. I'm a bit laid back with my cleaning and the surface gets built up with spilled substances. Any suggestions for a great, safe cleaner?

Good catch, that looks just like it for a lot less. I went to Henkelman's website and spoke to a rep. Covid is messing up everything. Shipping was going to cost a ton and the Neo hadn't been approved yet it the US. As I'm not a business, I didn't care.

I have more time with it and it is a handy unit. I still wish it was a bit larger as I buy large cuts of meat.
