Hello @Rodi.

Have you looked at King Arthur Flour for bread recipes? Here is the link for cheese bread recipes.

However I can't find my favourite called Tender Cheese Bread which is made from leftover cheese (from 2010). It also has measurements for a 1 lb loaf. Send me a PM and I'll send you a pdf.

Also check out Beth Hensperger's The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook: A Master Baker's 300 Favorite Recipes for Perfect-Every-Time Bread-From Every Kind of Machine (eG-friendly Amazon.com link)

Hmmm. I just looked into the above-mentioned book and its two loaf choices are 1.5 lb or 2 lb loaf.

Sorry.

I did get results when I used online search "1 lb bread machine recipes"

@Rodi My arthritic hands no longer allow me to knead bread. I use my bread machine for mixing/kneading/rising, then take the dough out, shape by hand and bake in the oven. Much prettier loaves and still saves on the work!

Today's bake.
Decided on the spur of the moment this morning to make a Homestyle White bread dough and use half to make dinner rolls.
Started the dough early using the autolyze, stretch and fold method.
1000g of flour, 5g of yeast, 15g of salt, 375g of whole milk, 325g of water and 1/2 cup soft butter.

Baked one loaf and a pan of dinner rolls. Rubbed with butter just out of the oven.

Moe and Matt each had one of the rolls while still warm. With more butter of course.
I forgot how much Matt really loves dinner rolls. Need to make these more often.

Made another batch of the Homestyle White bread and this time as requested by Matt,

I made eight crusty rolls with the dough, and a pan of Ball Park Hot dog buns.

Moe loves the hot dog buns served in some Ball parks where they are split down the top of the bun, rather than the side.

And for dinner, Moe had a grilled Bratwurst in one of the small crusty rolls.

Roasted garlic and rosemary. Finally used my new cast iron Dutch oven I got at the Lodge store in Tennessee. Worked great!

Could be awhile ☺️. But, I’ll try to do that. I used a lame, and you have to cut at maybe a 45 degree angle. Kinda so it’s underneath a little so the ear will peel back.

that's pretty much as I though.  How deep do you cut to get such a nice ' spread ? '

I get the idea , so , no pic needed.

thank you

Half an inch or more I would say. I do the first cut, then go back and make sure it didn’t snag and miss anything. Then go back over it to make sure it’s deep. I’ve found it’s needs to be deeper than I was I originally cutting. I’ve finally gotten the ear to peel back well.
