  2. I agree w both of you. getting outside , for me , is not as easy as it once was. MC the cat , etc. the IDS keeps me ' Thinking Smoke ' that's it.
  3. As cool as the indoor smoker is, your tube smoker is not dependent on electricity or a phone app, and will never need a firmware update.🙂
  4. Today
  5. Sorry, I should have said "enable," not "push!"
  6. I thought long and hard. But I really don't have a good place to put it. My Rotuts-approved tube smoker does everything I need. And I easily smoke outdoors. There is no lack of outdoors around here. 🫠
  7. I also bought an Apple Watch 10. My Fitbit died a while back and I’ve been toying with the idea of getting one as a replacement so I figured I’d give it a shot.

    Garlic Scapes

Garlic scapes are very common here. They're just as another green vegetable to be served as a side to other dishes. Usually simply stir fried (in lard). Or used in other stir fries alongside other ingredients. Stir fried garlic scapes with ham They are also grilled by roadside vendors as a popular street food snack.

    Garlic Scapes

Does anyone use garlic scapes? If yes, how to you use them? I have a bunch and don't know what to do with them. They came from a joint garden we have with my SIL.
  10. Apple Watch 10 for Significant Eater - used points I found on a credit card I don’t really use any more, and it came in at $279.00 + tariff tax.
  11. When you are trying to push something on @rotutsrather than the other way around!
  12. How about BBB? they say free shipping
  13. Try Williams Sonoma, they ship worldwide
  14. When you tried really, really hard to buy the GE electric indoor smoker and Amazon wouldn't ship it to me. I ended up with nothing.
  15. When the only thing I got on Prime Day was toilet paper.

    Breakfast 2025

@blue_dolphin, you make some of the most interesting breakfasts and I love your photos. Moe's breakfast. Egg salad sandwich on homemade bread.
  17. I tried.
  18. Generally, I don't shop sales, but I do look to see what's available. This year I purchased a new lens for one of my cameras. I bought it through Amazon Japan. It cost less new through Amazon than what many used copies have been selling for, and more than $100.00 less than the current sale price at two of NYC's biggest photo and electronic stores. I used the lens yesterday at an event and, thus far, have been quite pleased with the purchase. to get One needn't wait for Prime Day to get a bargain.
  19. I don't know how common these burger are. I'm not in the burger market. But I know stupidity is everywhere!
  20. things like this exist because the internet is fueled for licks. Even clicks @ eG. Imagine an Internet w a click tariff : 1 cent / click ? 4 cents / click ?
  21. If we could only cut him in half. For good. Hopefully, you told your gastroenterologist...in addition to telling us, of course.
  22. rather than start a new thread ( unusual ) Ill post here : on the ladyfinger thread , a Goya cookie was recomended. I finally remembered to go down the ( extensive ) Goya isle @ MarketBasket , a local family owned chain I got these to try : they are not Goya , but from Brazil ( There is a Brazilian community in the area ) they are not sweet , and the milk flavor is a tiny bit burnt they remind me of cookies from way back when : like animal cookies , but not as sweet. Im going to study that Goya isle more closely .
  23. These burgers are attractive to the sort of bro who wears hats turned backward while indoors
  24. I look at those grotesqueries and wonder to myself "Why even bother having a patty hiding under there?" My GF went through a stage of watching Guy Fieri's DDD and similar shows, and I got to the point where my eyelid would start to twitch at the phrase "...this OVER THE TOP burger..." ETA: Those of us of a certain age (ie, most of us) may remember a vintage Doonesbury cartoon from the mid-70s, with a small Vietnamese orphan being adopted by an American family. They sit her down to her first American meal, cooing fondly "Look how excited she is!" The little one, for her part, is raging in a thought bubble "This is obscene! You could feed half of Saigon with this!" (paraphrased from memory, and probably not exact) I was bemused, years later, to learn that GBT had revived her character as Mike Doonesbury's whip-smart young programmer GF.
  25. Here in the mid-west, those ginormous burger creations seem to be all the rage. But then this tends to be the land of huge portions, all-you-can-eat, etc. Explains much about the obesity epidemic. And while we're on it, what's up with entire meals served on top of a Bloody Mary? Is there even a drink under all that food?
  26. @JoNorvelleWalker I agree re: IDS. far from perfect , but can be worked with. poor @gfweb he will be ' Tossing and Turning ... All Night Long ' for quite some time. at least until the next sale.
  27. 干蝎子 (gān xiē zi), Dried Scorpions Usually rehydrated and fried until crisp then served as beer food or maybe an appetizer. ¥38 / 50g . That's $5.30 USD. Taste like shrimp. Enjoy!
