Thanks to insomniac for filling in while I was away. If there are errors in this recap, please PM me and I will edit it. Some clues have been added to a few of the movies.

Here's a current recap -

BELATED CONGRATULATIONS TO:

-caroled for first solving #32 ("Best damn barbecue in the state of Alabama" & fresh honey) as "Fried Green Tomatoes" (another clue would have been "I miss the smell of coffee and bacon fryin'. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a plate of fried green tomatoes!").

-waterdogs for solving #21 (Soy milk and burnt turkey) as "The Santa Clause" (another clue would have been "Hot cocoa with extra chocolate, shaken, not stirred.") and for guessing that #25 (Hot soup, yummy dessert and "I was gonna make espresso") was "Young Frankenstein" (the first and last item were from the scene where the creature runs away and meets the blind man played by Gene Hackman).

-Alex for correctly guessing that #24 ("Well, we had a choice, steak or fish." Order the fish and you'll be sorry) was "Airplane!" (everyone who ate the fish got sick...including the cockpit crew).

-petite tête de chou has correctly guessed that #52 ("These are snowflakes. Chives are identical.") is "Dinner Rush".

*****************************

WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION:

-Varmint has guessed that #18 is "Caddyshack"

*****************************

CLUE: "I'm so hungry I can eat the ass end out of a dead rhino. I should have had you get me three of these."

42. A liquor bottle replaces Venus.

49. How about "A solitary fried egg, soup with a ham hock

#52  "These are snowflakes. Chives are identical."  Dinner Rush. I forgot all about this film until now. And it was only seven years ago.

Correct!

I like that scene (temperamental chef fires a cook on the spot) and while memorable, out of context I thought that quote might not be immediately obvious.

Good work.

I am so geeky:

Lembas = Lord of the Rings (it is the ever-sustaining elf equivalent of trail food).

I dub thee Sir Geeky!

You are correct!

I love this film. I will add clues if no one gets it right away.

Can you guess it from the food-related dialogue?

Man: May I ask you a very personal question?

Woman: Why not.

Man: Would you like another hit of espresso?

[Woman looks confused.]

Man: Would you...

Woman: ...like another hit of espresso, that's the very personal question?

Man: That's as good as it gets.

Woman: Excuse me, may I ask you a very personal question?

Man: Oh sure, by all means.

Woman: Do you really think I am going to sleep with the man I am investigating?

Man: Is that the question?

Woman: Yes that's it.

Man: Now why should I answer your question when you didn't seriously commit to my espresso?

Woman: All right, then I'll seriously commit to your espresso.

"49. How about "A solitary fried egg, soup with a ham hock"

I'm going to take a shot at this one, because it's been haunting me all day. I remember a fried egg, but not a soup with a ham hock. Lilies of the Field with Sidney Poitier?
