Here's another one. Pizza with "stinky junk, bits of sweaty sausage, a little tomato, nice, fresh spaghetti, an old cheese rind, lettuce that's good and rotten, one olive..."

QUIET!  People are trying to pontificate.

A morning recap while the game guessers keep hitting them out of the ballpark:

CONGRATULATIONS TO:

-dsquare for solving #60 (Scully's Catches of the Day and a nearly empty tank of lobsters) as the film "Summer Rental".

-caroled for solving #63 (Lemonade and Girl Scout cookies) as the film "The Addams Family"

-petite tête de chou for being the first to solve #65 ("Oh yes, ahh, the time has come, my little friends, to talk of food and things!" "Of peppercorns and mustard seed and other seasonings. We’ll mix some all together in a sauce as good for kings." "Callooh, callay, we’ll live today, like cabbages and kings!") as the animated film "Alice in Wonderland".

petite tête de chou also solved #33 (Undercooked foie gras, lobster in a tank, pasta. CLUE: This foodie movie is in German with English subtitles and its musical score is as great as its food) as the film "Mostly Martha".

-dockhl for also knowing #65 referenced the Walrus & Carpenter in "Alice in Wonderland".

-insomniac solved "Chilled monkey-brains served fresh from the original container" as the film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom".

-GordonCooks has brilliantly deduced that #64 ("A double Chubby Chuck, a Mexicali Chili Barb, two orders of French fries..." "And cherry cokes.") is from the George Lucas classic "American Graffiti".

-I_call_the_duck for figuring out that "Sushi prepared/served by a commando penguin" was from the animated feature "Madagascar".

AS YET UNSOLVED AND STILL IN PLAY:

55. How current are you in your movies? Movie food = individual chocolate soufflés

61. The following items are on the menu in this movie:

Yes. 27. "One ostrich egg to feed a crowd for dinner,"  "A signature yell," and "In the jungle." --from one of the Tarzan movies starring Johnny Weissmuller.

In the one I remember, (and had mentioned in some obscure movie-themed thread on this or another food site), Jane has the egg bubbling away in a stone pot over the fire---she takes it out, whacks it gently all over with a stone-age hatchet, and peels it neatly. She then cuts it into wedges (quite a trick---not a single bit of yolk falls free from the white) and serves it to several tally-ho types with cocktails. (Don't know where she got those).

May I mention a few?

Spaghetti carbonara, served in big bowls in bed

"A little sprinkle of tapioca in the cherry pie, just like Mama did," just before the cook is coaxed down onto the floor with her husband, with her "Apron up around her ears."

(bonus clue: same movie features a roast chicken dinner used to decorate the dining room walls)

I love the Coen Brothers, I love Frances McDormand and I loved Fargo :smile:

You got it! The second clue would have been "a buffet with Beef Stroganoff, Swedish Meatballs and Broiled Torsk".
