Evidence of recent tariffs in your supermarkets/grocery stores?

Ive been enjoying De Cecco linguini for quite some time , w my FastaPasta.

 

wet up from $ 2  to $ 3 , due to tariffs.

 

one store had it ' on sale ' for $ 2 , so I went and cleaned them out.

 

Tj's pasta , from Italy , isnt bad , @ 1.00 , a bargain .  haven not checked their price recently.

 

So , Tariffs :  what's gone up thats on your regular list ?

not a single item in inventory cost has increased 'by tariffs'

and this item went up by  the same amount in three local supermarkets.

$2 a pound is cheap for De Cecco in this neck of the woods (DC)

 

I like pasta and am very brand loyal to De Cecco.   Tend to buy it in bulk and Jen I see it cheap.   Haven’t seen sub 2 bucks in 5 yard or so.

I haven’t seen DeCecco around here for $2.00 in forever.  I used Instacart to check prices in my area and most are in the $3.50-4 range.

Sprouts has it on sale for $2.61 (regular $3.49)

Walmart has a similar sale price. 
Ralph’s has a sale price of $3.72 with their loyalty card (regular $3.99)

The fancy places are $4.99 or more

I buy Italian imported pastas in Mexico including De Cecco and since MEX is not in trade war with Italy I am curious to compare prices between US price and MX price once the tariff dust settles.

Fresh Direct's price for DeCecco currently (and recently) is $3.19.

No change yet from Kroger Private Selection Thick Spaghetti (bronze cut from Italy).  $1.99/lb.

 

But 10% might not be very noticeable.

My local safeway app says 3.99, on sale for 3.50 this week. No idea what historic prices are locally.

So I can be a bit of a hoarder with things I like that don’t go bad, but if I saw that price I’d buy at least 3-4 pounds of the shapes I use regularly (no12 spagetti, penne, orccehetti and rigatoni)

Went to MarketBasket this AM :  their [price went up $ 0.50  , to $ 2.50.

DeCecco pasta that I checked on Amazon was $2.89 or $2.62 with subscribe and save option.

 

Safeway showed $2.50 for various varieties

Walmart (BIG surprise) DeCecco spaghetti:

 

I went to replenish my supply of Marie Sharp's Garlic Habanero hot sauce and the price went from $9.60 the last time I purchased it to $15.00 now, and that's for a 10-oz bottle. I checked other sources and the price is pretty much the same ( Big bummer. ☹️) except that Amazon offers free shipping and I get 6% credit back, so Amazon works out to be the best price.

Appreciate the heads up on the pasta.   That’s a great price.

 

I have to confess I don’t track exact prices with the exception of a few staples I buy over and over and have the ability to buy in bulk when the right price comes along.

 

But I have noticed the bill at the grocery store is up, and more than a little bit

Not the supermarket, as such, but it extends to the kitchen.
