Sashimi tuna with seagrass for breakfast? Why not?

Why not indeed.  I would love that for breakfast.

I didn't make the intended dinner last night so I made it this morning.

Please note - a black plastic spatula was used - and we are still alive!

A lemony, dilly yogurt sauce accompanied these.

@Kerry Beal Fritters or pancakes?

The recipe calls them pancakes - sautéed onions and shredded cabbage, dill, cottage cheese, eggs, a bit of whole wheat flour. I think of a fritter as something deep fried, but these aren’t reminiscent of a regular American pancake in any way.

I spotted the black plastic spatula right away. Glad to know you're still with us! 😉

Cooked breakfast with toast. There is a small piece of speck under the mushrooms.

Some recent breakfasts including this morning's.

I've been eating a lot of fish and seafood lately and it is one of my favourite breakfast sandwich inclusions.

Egg with Thai and shishito peppers and green onions, haddock, tomato and shredded romaine.

Egg with shrimp, Thai chilis and basil, green onions on toasted baguette. With a mandarin and a glass of extra spicy Clamato.

Egg with leftover Italian sausage and mushrooms, green onion, pepper jack, tomato and shredded romaine.

Traditional Christmas breakfast in our house- cereal. Seriously.  I never buy it but with having 2 houses doing Christmases with a kid, we have to share, so in order to expedite gift opening, cereal.

Honey nut cheerios and chocolate lucky charms for them,  coffee for me.

Bubble and squeak is an easy way of dealing with leftovers. That is if you like eating it, which I do but husband does not. The comments are not good. Hah!

Matt baked two pizzas this morning using a dough
that had been in the fridge since December 24th for a five day cold fermentation.

First out of the oven was a Detroit Pepperoni Pizza.

Second out of the oven, this one baked on the steel,

Having tried various "pizza doughs", I have never found one I like better for a pizza than my baguette dough.

Cooked off 5 lbs of sweet potatoes (couldn't resist the sale price), DH and I like to have the small ones for breakfast and I cut the others into chunks and roasted w/o seasoning for future use. Had one heated up with a dab of cream cheese and cinnamon.
