I certainly can't. Mine seems to be stuck in transit. It's departed, then returned to, a city in Ontario.

No tariff info yet here. My order was picked up by Purolator on Wed and has been at their export facility in Etobicoke ON since then.

From Goûter:

"Turns out Purolator returned the packages as they are no longer willing to ship items that might be held back by FDA (being food, it falls under the category). I am re-sending out via FedEx today and the tracking number is . . . "

They will be charged import taxes which I will repay them.

I’m so sorry Goûter is having to deal with this issue!
i understand Purolator not wanting to deal with the shipments but they shouldn’t have accepted the packages if that was the case.
Ah well, I guess this landscape changes by the minute!

It seems like it's been a bad year all around for panettone. We've been checking the bakery in our local supermarket for weeks and no panettone. Finally today we ask a cashier why they didn't have any and they have had it. It's been displayed with the Christmas ornaments. But they were out. So we went to the high priced store and they had some imported panettone. It's almost twice the price of our little grocery store  panettone and not as good but at least we'll have some. The one on the left is tiramisu and the one on the right is caramel and chocolate.

Maybe not as good but Beggars can't be choosers.

We had the first of the panettone for breakfast this morning. It was the chocolate caramel and it was delicious.

I finally broke in to the Gouter classic this evening - it's is stellar!  The best he has ever made.

Soft, tender, rich - the amount and tenderness of the fruit is perfect with the texture and flavour of the dough - the crunchy bits of pearl sugar the finishing touch.

Rodney, B and I have travelled the world together - we have bought and studied numerous (and bloody expensive) recommended panettone, visited the kitchens where it is being made - picked a whole bunch of brains. This year it has all come together!

Hubby just snuck over and cut himself off another big hunk when he thought I wasn't looking!

Hi,

just an fyi, we are doing our very best to get you the product on time. B ran to fedex before shipping cut off on Friday. Even fedex seems to be flimsy. We also have someone on the looking already to become FDA certified which is an other unexpected one. Last week all shippers raised their prices by double. But we got this (new learning curves)

I promise every panettone this year is exceptional. Our partnership with soma chocolate makers has been an honour but also a challenge and the result is f$&@ing amazing.

thank you for your support

In the US, I received this afternoon from Fed Ex, the small Apple Pie panettone.

I ordered one Three Chocolate panettone and two Apple Pie panettone, so there will be more to come someday!

Whee! Against what seemed like staggering odds (including my needing to be home for a signature) my two panettonnes from Gouter arrived today!

I realized they're still wrapped in their swaddling, but even now the aroma is intoxicating. I'm so pleased they arrived in time for me to share with family and friends during the holiday travels. There will still be PLENTY for me.

Sadly no Goûter panettone for me this year; they are sold out of the traditional version. Will get my order in earlier next year. Glad that they are doing so well.

@curls, yesterday I was able to purchase a Three Chocolate panettone for shipment to Canada. They won't get it for Christmas, but they'll get it soon.

Purolater finally delivered my order back to Goûter yesterday and they very quickly re-shipped by FedEx and it’s already made it to Memphis!

In the meantime, I enjoyed a slice of the $6.49 Aldi panettone this morning. This is the one The Wirecutter named as one of their top 10, specifically, best under $10.  I think there was only one other under $10, the Trader Joe’s panettone 🙃 which I have tried in previous years and found dry and relatively tasteless.

In comparison to TJ's, this one is quite good. I’m sure it doesn’t hold a candle to premium offerings but it was pleasantly moist with a floral vanilla aroma and flavor. The inclusions are golden raisins and candied orange peel, both with good texture, neither dry nor mushy.  The crumb obviously isn’t as airy as the Goûter photos show but it’s quite light, not stodgy, dense or gummy.  I’ll probably cut this up and freeze in portions to be used in French toast or maybe a breakfast casserole but it’s honestly quite pleasant to eat on its own, with or without a smear of butter. I’d say it was $6.49 well spent!

Thank you @TdeV. I  have tried Goûter's chocolate panettone and it is delicious but my favorite is their traditional panettone.  As a seasonal chocolatier, I see far too much chocolate this time of year! I'm ready for fruit sorbets and citrus tarts.

Please report back on your panettone.
