Books About Asian Noodles

I'm looking for a good book about cooking Noodles. I checked amazon and there seems to be quite a lot there. I would be nice to find something which describes the main Asian noodles types as well as some noodle dish recipes. I'm asking here because I don't have that much faith in amazon book reviews. Thank you.

Nina Simonds' Asian Noodles (Deliciously Simple Dishes to Twirl, Slurp and Savor) should fit the bill.

All the basics, with description of various types of noodles, how to use and cook them, recipes, etc.

I think it would be pretty impossible to write a definitive book about noodles in Asia. The actual noodles don't change much, but the accompaniments do. Almost every town and city in China has its local noodle dish which isn't found in the next town or city.

Where I am, we specialise in snail rice noodles. An hour away, you can't find them - they have their own variety.

Also check out Terry Durack's book on, er, Noodle. I think you'll find it ticks a lot of your boxes - goes through Noodle types and categorises recipes by type of noodle used..

Durack is the long-standing resto critic on the SMH (also had a stint in London on the Independent). I always find him more insightful than most on Asian stuff, I suspect because he's closer to the action.

There's the out-of-print Florence Lin’s "Complete Book of Chinese Noodles, Dumplings and Breads".

You might find other pertinent titles in this eGullet discussion about Chinese cookbooks (click).

I also stumbled across this page in the internet...some of the books are about Asian noodles, not just Chinese noodles:
