I had some dough I wanted to use so I took it out of the fridge last night at midnight and baked three small pizzas this morning.

Moe had the one with olives for breakfast. I'm taking the one without the olives for lunch, and Matt had the Margherita.

Faux Congee, I am making it up as I go along. Rice, char siu pork, portions of braised in soy sauce egg plant. Anyway?, it is an enjoyable breakfast for me.

Cacio e Pepe Polenta: Bob's Red Mill corn meal cooked with the addition of Kampot black pepper, 12-month aged Pecorino Romano, and a small pat of unsalted Kerry Gold butter, accompanied by some strong Himalayan black tea. I don't have my glasses handy this morning so I hope the image looks OK.

Eli's health bread

Can you elaborate on the “health” part  ? Is it some kind of multigrain ?

Google translate is not much help. In Estonian, Mett means honey. But in German, it means Mett.

I'm looking forward to that (I think).

I'll never forget the first time I tried this:

Riff on Parsi scrambled eggs with bay scallops: sautee onion, jalapeno, garlic, and ginger in ghee. Mix in chopped cilantro and mint, add scallops and partly cook, and then finish with eggs beaten with milk. I meant to add some soft feta but oh well. Cukes on the side.

Yesterday morning I roasted a just under 4lb chicken.
RoastChickenMay2nd20251.thumb.jpg.9fcf749718494519179e90e2b8578729.jpg
Moe had toast and a chicken leg for breakfast and I had intended to make hot chicken sandwiches for dinner.

That didn't happen.

So this morning I made Moe a hot chicken sandwich with twice fried fries, lots of gravy and canned peas. Diner food.

I love how just a small chicken will net me a litre of gravy.

Just a simple breakfast: thick cornmeal porridge (Bob's Medium Grind) and a cuppa black Ethiopian coffee brewed strong.

A few months back, someone on the local FB marketplace was selling a Cuisinart steam oven.  I already had two at home, but

didn't have one at work, so I had to buy it, if for no other reason than it makes the best toast.

Yesterday I roasted a chicken at work.  I brought the chicken home in the pan that I roasted it in, and

put the pan on the stove to brown all of the juices and made gravy.

Moe just picked at cold chicken for dinner, but this morning I made him a hot chicken sandwich

with homemade potato chips.
