I plan to do just that first thing tomorrow morning.

Let us know what they said.  I've had good experiences with some of them.

Other than for those who can't use a knife, does this offer any advantage?

For those of us who have some physical limitations the dicing capability is a godsend.

Although I'm capable of using a knife, I really don't like chopping.  I've been known to not make some things because of the amount of chopping involved.  With the dicing blades, that's no longer an issue.

After my phone call this morning with a Breville rep. I learned that I need those items that you got: the adaptability kit as well a  as the dicing kit (two blades).

I will have to return the dicing kit that I got earlier since it's not compile with the Sous Chef Pro.

Glad I go this sorted out.  The Breville rep. was super helpful, tsking a lot of time to get me the right information, I even got as sizeable discount on my parts/

It would have been nice if the correct information was available in the first place, but it has all worked out for you 😀

@lindag and @ElsieD for the references to the Breville videos

I think the first on is the best as it details a real world experience rather than a scripted studio film and it was very illustrative of normal usage

Ive been wondering how a circular motion ( the blade )

can also dice.  Im sure Im the only one puzzled.

this video shows how this works :

thank you , @lindag

I originally though the blade that did the cutting was below the ' dice ' disk.  its not

the cutting blade is above the dice disk , slices the food , and must be angled in such a way

that it then pushed the food through the dice disk.

very cleaver.

won't be tossing and turning so much now.

For the first time I used my Breville Paradice 9 to mince garlivc....whoa!   I must have been living under a rock since I've always done this with a knife.

Never again.  Perfectly chopped onion and garlic to make my favorite Ina Garten Tomato Soup recipe.

Linda, I want to dice onion into 1/4" dice sometimes . . . and garlic even smaller (1/8" ?). Can this be done?

I'm not Linda but I have the dicing kit.   I used the 8 mm disc to make almost 1/4" cubes of onions.  It is the smallest disc.

I think there's only one dice size on the Paradice 9, Elsie.

You are correct.  To get the 8imm disc you need the Paradice 16.

You get three discs, the 8, the 12, and 16.

In that case, how small were the onion and garlic chopped?

I used the chopping blade and pulsed the garlic then the onion...they got very nice and small.

@lindag, thanks. I really want a Paradice 9 because of it's small footprint, but I'm worried it won't do what I want . . .  And I want the disc peeler too.

Go ahead, call me Nervous Nelly.

The ONLY disadvantage of the 9 model, as I see it. is the lack of the 8mm disc.

As far as the peeler goes, I think that's been taken off the market in favor of a new design that's coming.

The model 16 may be too big for your needs and it has a ton of parts.

Don't overthink this, just get the Paradice 9, it's terrific.
