I was wondering if anyone has a favorite, simple lentil soup recipe that they can share.  I am interested in stove top recipes because I do not own a crock pot.  Thank you.

Using the French green lentils, Lentilles de Puy, goes a long way to making a better soup. Tastier, smaller than brown lentils, hold their shape. Elegant little things.

Speaking of French green lentils, here's a recipe I've bookmarked but haven't tried yet (but I will soon): Puy lentils with pork and prunes
