NY Times and Food Trends

In a piece entitled "The Dark (and Often Dubious) Art of Forecasting Food Trends" The NY Times cites source Lynn Dornblaser as saying:  "People who make less than $50,000 a year are not buying gourmet olive oil..."

 

Clearly the Old Gray Lady has lost touch with what's left of her readership.  That or the denizens of the great metropolis have their priorities totally misplaced.
