Infrared Oven

Have been actively contemplating an Air Fryer as the results seem to be wonderful. The Philips brand seems to be the best.

However, in the process of my research, I've come across an alternative beast, an infrared oven. Obviously the appearance and construction is very different from the "Philips" type. However the basic technique and claims seem to be very much the same. They seem to be very popular in the UK. They are considerably cheaper than the "Philips" and have a much bigger capacity.

I had something similar about 20 years ago and it didn't live up to its claims (or maybe my expectations were too high). The older models relied on a heating coil, the ones I have been looking at use an infrared heat source.

Anyone with experience with this "new" generation like to comment on their results/experiences. Would you buy it again? How do the results compare to the "Philips" type of Air Fryer?

They are both infrared generators.

An infrared cooker is a broiler.

Suspect it's the same technology as the previous iteration just new marketing.
