We only have Polenta in Oz and I have often thought of giving it a blitz to get it a little finer. This is my cornbread recipe and love it. The family doesn't so much so I'll be looking at some of your choices.

Beef short ribs smoked with a little Plum wood. Its been a while since I have found these so I was a little excited to get them done.

BBq large chicken wings. Some with a Mex spice blend, some with Asian marinade and some with hot spice blend. Very satisfying.

We call them Bugs. Also known as Slipper Lobsters and yes a different taste, more delicate and often prefered than Lobster/Crays.

I have not seen this thread before. In Oz we have many types of prawn, including fresh water. All different and at different times of the year the same prawn will change. Still good all year round.

The best thin I have ever had for lunch. Coconut Crab with some kind of sweet curry sauce. Found here. Chez Louis Beach Bar & Grill. pretty much a shack at Port Olry. Espititu Santo. Vanuatu. A stunning place.

Australia Day Lamb roast. So we had a long weekend here and I went back to the bbq for Monday night. Pork Belly Char Sui.

Chilli Mussels. Hot enough to match the heat of the day. I added some pasta just to make it stretch a little.
