So..

I come to this community in my first post .. to ask?

I have recently butchered a Red Wattle Hog, and I want to use the feet and ears/ sperately. They appear to be a bit hairy!! So, I need to get these ready to use, How ? Then... what would be a good way to cook or use these things

The way you take hair off a whole hog is by dunking it in scalding water. Dunk them in boiling water a few seconds, tug on the hair and see if it pulls out. Repeat as needed.

There is a special scraper for taking hair off a hog, but I think people used to use the dull side of a knife, too.

Good luck.

I use a blowtorch to singe off hairs. Never had much luck with trotters other than a gelatin giver to stocks.

I use 'em in beans.

This is my skillet. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My skillet is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it, as I must master my life. Without me my skillet is useless. Without my skillet, I am useless. I must season my skillet well. I will. Before God I swear this creed. My skillet and myself are the makers of my meal. We are the masters of our kitchen. So be it, until there are no ingredients, but dinner. Amen.
