Another very small batch. The kumquats are gone - that was 2 great jars. So a big lemon and couple oranges off trees roughly chopped and soaked overnight with water and a hint of salt. Simmered with sugar this morning, Nice balance of bitter and citrus sweet. I am thinking just a touch of fresh ginger for next batch.

I can report that Instacart shoppers do get to know ya. I have posted before about some wow experiences. Absolutely not an ideal business plan. My connected ones text me pics of sensible versus the app subs and today showed how crappy the onions looked so we agreed - nope. The customized tipping reportedly works.

We are "in" as always. Ya know the rosemary flowers and if you have fresh oregano include some greenage with the bloom - nice fried. Yes the flowers are teensy but pack a delightful punch. Love to see a pic of your monster.

Brilliant move! I hoard those tiny tiny jam jars one gets at hotels and save small amounts of jus or a T or 2 of deglaze -. adds an unexpected lick to dishes.
