Call a friend to come in when hes there, and seat the friend at the next table. Have the friend start a conversation about how much she/he loves the restaurant and the servers and have the friend tell him "I make sure to tip over 15%, how much do you tip?" When he says, "9%" have the friend say something like, "OMG they probably are so hurt by that 9%, they probably think they did something wrong and you dont like the food or something" Im sure my idea is silly but something has to be done. I hate these situations, they never end well. The tension is palpable.

FWIW, I participate in Intl Political Chat online. Most of the Europeans and Brits and Scots disagree with tipping

Yeah, thats how I got part of my collection. My dad had a penchant for starting collections (Franklin Mint ARG!) and not completing them. So now that I have the full 39 book collection (US and UK editions) I now found out there are additional Aussie editions...Not sure if they have Aussie recipes but my OCD self is trying to ignore it for now before I go insane

Last night on Letterman during his Monologue he ran a parody of the Scripps Spelling Bee, It was the Sandwich Bee lol, where contestant(s) had to name the ingredients in a named sandwich... Why has there been no food trivia or food knowledge game shows? Im sick of chopped etc But I would watch a food trivia show, how about you? Heres the monologue , the skits at the beginning (:30 secs in) http://youtu.be/Oz-8CpLhzvg?t=25s

Okay I was looking up the nut thing on Google, Almonds are low FODMOP, pistachios are high. HOWEVER, I think these online sites need to get it together, some charts say GRAPES are HIGH others say LOW.

Maybe this is my problem...!!! ATTENTION! THE FOLLOWING IS ONLY MY OPINION AND OBSERVATION. NOT eGULLETS. CONSULT A DR FOR ADVICE ON YOUR BODY. I think the Sugar Alcohols (aka polyols) caused my stomach issues. I think anything that screws up the stomach and intestines and causes that much discomfort and pain is bad news. Last December I had completely gone off my stomach meds (protonix and carafate) for Functional Dyspepsia I was diagnosed with 3 yrs ago and felt great...Until I started eating Truvia on berries with plain yogurt every night. Truvia has Erythritol a supposedly non gastric issue causing polyol. I felt like I was dying inside. During the Atkins craze people loaded up on the polyols like Maltitol, now there is a large amount of IBS and IBS like ppl. I think there needs to be a study on Polyols and IBS... Lets also not forget the Carageenan stomach issues.... On to FODMOPS... What if you are only sensitive to one of the sugars? Can you then eat the rest? Or must you stay away from all of them? What about NUTS?

What about Padaek? Has anyone ever tasted it? I have some but I havent tried it yet. Is it very strong?

Apparently you need a male and female bush to get fertilization... I bought my bush for the young leaves to use in Japanese dishes. I never noticed the cup at the bottom of the pot, so the roots rotted out
