NO, it didnt occur years ago, its ongoing. Paula continues to say racist and racially insensitive things... Everyday there are new videos popping up of her putting her foot in her mouth. See what Paula does not get is, her "Joking Racism" (IE saying her "black friend" is black as that board") isnt cute or funny, it is still racism. Its still openly demonstrating that SHE is different than HIM, that hes black as that board but she still loves him... Its the word STILL there that is the racism. Like, "Look everybody, I have a black friend, he may be black but I love him anyway" Thats what she means... And thats, in its core, what racism is. Its discriminating between 2 different people and treating them as such.

The R word that refers to Mentally challenged persons. Which is good that I never used or use it as a slur or a put down cause my son is Mentally Challenged.

Let me say this... And Im sure people will think Im acting like a moral snob but...Whatevs' ya know? I never use any racial slurs, I dont say gay slurs, and I most certainly never utter the R word either. I didnt when I was a kid, didnt when I was a teen, didnt as a young woman or as an adult. Okay I wasnt gonna comment further on this subject cause I think we may be going into some bad territory BUT This is not JUST about Paula Deen using the N word YEARS ago to her ex hubby James Deen Sr. This is about her frequent use of it and her "Of course I used it" attitude amd her wanting to have a Sambo burger and her wanting to have a SLAVE theme at a wedding and her racial comments about a BLACK FRIEND and I quote "I Have a Black Friend — and He's "Black as a Board" "Come out here Hollis. OMG people dont get the 1st Amendment! Paula isnt getting arrested and thrown in jail, she is however getting fired... There is a difference between COURT OF LAW and COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION... 1st Amendment doesnt protect you from getting angry hoards of ppl after you or being fired (especially if you have a morality clause in your contract) What Paula was doing wasnt an "opinion". Being familiar myself with the inside of television drama (Reality TV) Im only going to say this. If its a latex seal its probably lubricant or dehumidifying powder. It keeps the latex from accidentally getting mushy during shipment or sitting on the shelf for long periods before purchase
