would anybody know which company is a reputable gourmet food purveyor? i am looking for things like truffle oil, dried morels and porcini, unusual spices and condiments. i need one or two that are willing to ship to asia. i have found so many but im wary of using them because i cant find any consumer reviews. i was hoping some of you may have certain companies you deal with. thanks for your help....

I don't know if any of these ship internationally, but a quick e-mail or perusal of the web site should answer that question.

Earthy Delights probably carries a lot of what you'd be looking for. They're not cheap, but they're very reliable and the product quality is impeccable.

I've ordered olive oil and truffle oil from Vinoeolio.

Zingerman's is tops for oils, vinegars, unusual spices and condiments, and baked goods.

Penzeys can't be beat for herbs and spices.

Sid Wainer and Son is located in southeast Massachusetts but I believe they will ship around the world. Their e mail address is sales@sidwainer.com if you would like to e mail them and ask them. They have lots of good stuff. I have not personally dealt with shipping because they are in my town but like they say, they are known world-wide. Good luck.

  • 1 month later...

I'm with Alex on Penzey's. Great spices at great prices and an incredibly varied selection of oddball mixes that I really like.

They also do a very nice job on gift packages for those of you that get tired of sending out fruit baskets and the giant Bucket O' Popcorn.
