Hello from MorningGloryFarms on Martha's Vineyard!

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to join the forum and share a bit about our food truck here at Morning Glory Farm on Martha's Vineyard. We’re a small, family-run operation that brings the farm’s freshest produce directly to our community with farm-inspired meals right from our truck. It’s been a unique experience working in such a vibrant place, serving up seasonal dishes that highlight what’s growing on the farm.

Our menu changes frequently to reflect the harvest, so there’s always something new for locals and visitors to try! I’d love to connect with others involved in farm-to-table projects, food trucks, or anyone interested in seasonal cooking and sustainable food practices.

Looking forward to learning and sharing with this community!

Hello Paul,

I've read a lot of posts here on eGullet about individual persons' favourite food trucks. On a visit to Portland, Oregon, I was amazed to see how well organized some of those food truck places were ( @Alex and @liuzhou, I need a collective noun for food trucks!) *.

I'm really looking forward to hearing more about Morning Glory Farm's operations.

Welcome to eGullet.

* A gathering of food trucks? 😄

Welcome to eGullet, paulrook-society! We've had a few folks explore the idea of a food truck here over the years, but I don't recall any steady discussion about it. It would be nice to see.

One of my favorite local food trucks is Scenic 61 in northeastern Minnesota. They began as an outreach and survival strategy from my favorite restaurant, The New Scenic Cafe, as the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions began to lift. The New Scenic Cafe has a similiar philosophy to yours: locally grown to the degree possible; organic; creative and high-quality foods. Now that the restaurant is fully opened the food truck seems to be relegated to special events because it's difficult to find enough staff for the restaurant and the food truck. Do you have similar staffing issues?
