    Dinner 2020

    Lime delivery?
  2. Were there any doubt, I noticed when one inspects the bottom of the can it says to "open other end".
  3. Possibly, but the theory does not explain why only cans with one end molded have the labels upside down. Though come to think of it, traditional cans can be opened either end.
  4. Update: I heard from Vesta that the BF100 is back up on the site for purchase. The freezers are now being sold with trays included.
  5. See my comment above about licking flagpoles. Or maybe that is just an American thing.
  6. Stackability makes sense but it does not explain why the label is upside down. So much easier in the days when the grocery would open the can for you before you left the store.
  7. Wow, worth its weight for wine if nothing else!
  8. @gfweb I was serious.
  9. A magnum wine bottle fits!
  10. I have to ask, why are the labels upside down?
  11. EXO is the company that makes peels using Epicurean composite (as well as wood peels).
  12. Following a recent price reduction and coupon, I now have an OXO Smooth Edge. For years I've had an OXO traditional opener which still works OK as ever but I am a whore for new technology. However I have a question. These days many newfangled cans come with the label upside down, at least as far as for opening with a traditional opener. When opening this type of can with the OXO Smooth Edge, should the can label be up or down?
  13. Fortunately I have already overspent my wad on Le Creuset. I need to venture outside to the ATM this afternoon and deposit $5 so my rent check hopefully won't bounce.
  14. Just the red snapper I mentioned above.

    Dinner 2020

I had a crown fall out which put me out of the mood of pictures. And most everything else. But if it helps, the apple was a Lady Alice.

    Dinner 2020

    Apple and cheeses not shown.
  17. Very tasty bread.
  18. The next time @chefmd comes to visit I'll ask her to stop by your place.
  19. Some years ago I asked the Oaxacan proprietor of an Oaxacan restaurant in Princeton, the small town to my south, where he sourced his Mexican ingredients. Upper New York State he told me. He added most of the residents of his town in Oaxaca now live in Princeton. Having nothing to do with anything, the earrings I'm wearing at the moment are carved glass from Oaxaca.
  20. Cheese is waiting.
  21. Brother, can you spare a lime? (Apologies to Yip Harburg.)
  22. You are getting a stimulus check?
  23. What problem do you find with the indexing of Eat Your Books?
  24. Think about it. If commercial yeast didn't reproduce a lot of bread bakers would be out of business.
  25. I pasteurize ribs and other meat sous vide and store in the refrigerator. You could freeze I suppose if you would rather. For pasteurizing I use Baldwin's temperature and time tables. For ribs I like to finish on the Philips grill.
