I may be mistake but I could swear that Anthony Bourdain did a piece on this place in one of episodes, maybe 'No Reservations'. Anyway, it was quite the place and the lines to get in were l-o-n-g.
My last home where I lived for over 14 years had no hood and no exhaust other than the rinky-dink microwave pretend fan. When my new house was being built a hood was a must-have. Worth every penny being as I was deprived for so long.
I'm a big fan of the pinafore style apron since anything against the back of my neck is an irritation. Of course, I usually forget to put one on before splattering my clothing.
Well yes, I have a similar addiction. Way too many pots and pans that I don’t really need. In fact, head I need ordered a walk recently that I will have to send back because according to Kenji alt it’s inappropriate for my induction cooktop. Probably a good thing is I don’t know where I’d store it because it’s big.
It was amazing. As I said, the aroma was fantastic as well as the flavor. Will definitely make this again very soon. I find rye bread to be pretty tricky; more difficult to get a good result than other types. This one is definitely a keeper.
I hope you'll try it.
