    Nettles

Okay I just picked all the nettle tops I had on my side of the fence... Do I use JUST the leaves? Should I wash first? I hope I have an answer to this by the time I get back from Wawa.... BTW-my elbow was confirmation that I do indeed have Nettles!

  7. My son is going to day camp this summer. I will pack a bento on days he doesnt wanna buy lunch there. I cant wait to use the soccer ball onigiri kit I bought. Ill also use the sausage cutters and egg molds. However I need some veggie suggestions. And can I safely pack cooked pot stickers/gyozas? My son is autistic, and usually autistic kids only eat 5 different foods for years (!!!) but I wasnt gonna deal with that. I would chase him around the house with a fork or spoon and bribe him to eat different things. Now hell eat anything but spicy and veggie things. People are amazed that he eats eel sushi and seaweed salad and loves cod roe spaghetti. I was just about to ask a question but I answered it myself. TY

  12. I bought a Camellia Sinensis. BEAUTIFUL plant! Gorgeous hue of green! I steeped a small handful of leaves in hot water and added a little sugar. It did not taste like traditional tea, but rather what the color "GREEN" would taste like if you could eat it. No bitterness at all. How does it taste like tea? Anyone else have a tea plant?
  13. I was on some gardening sites and found this: http://bp2.blogger.com/_rwuMjRB5iJk/RxLM5-...0-h/akebia2.jpg Akebia is a genus of just two species of flowering plant, within the family Lardizabalaceae. The scientific name, akebia, is a Latinization of the Japanese name for species Akebia quinata: akebi (通草, akebi?). They are commonly referred to as chocolate vine, and are grown by gardeners as ornamental climbing vines. The purple or reddish purple flowers are borne on racemes and have a slight chocolate scent. Their fruits are edible. The two species have been cultivated into several varieties, some of which flower white rather than dark maroon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akebia Its Zone 5 and higher... Anyone eaten the fruit?
