I'd like to know too - but I suspect they are too pricey for Vancouver. The only time I saw them down in the States was at Neiman Marcus.

They are delicous - thin, crispy and buttery.

Yoku Moku are indeed delicious. It doesn't take us long to demolish a box when they come our way. Your husband would probably like Shiroi Koibito as well.

Unfortunately, I've never seen either sold locally.

Those are my absolute favourite Japanese cookies! They're really just langues de chats (sp?) but they're awesome! I was at a Hokkaido Fair at one of the Hankyu Dept. stores in Osaka, and I found they now have regular chocolate fillings (used to just be white chocolate). I didn't get to try them, though. I do have a box of the white chocolate ones hidden away for a rainy day!

Thanks for the info everyone. Well, maybe I'll have to bake some cat's tongues for my mother in law for her birthday.

What's the name of that Japanese tea shop right near Granville Island? I thought they might have something like this.

I like the Shiroi Koibito cookies a lot more than the Yoku Moku ones. You can order Shiroi Koibito online too!
