I'm really tired of Cherry Street and haven't really found anything else decent (at least in the south end of downtown). If only Vivace or Lighthouse would branch out here...

If I'm waiting a long time to meet up with friends I'll go to any of the Tully's because they have comfortable leather chairs. But if I want good "independent" coffee I'll head up the hill to Bauhaus or B&O (home of the best chocalate chip cookies on earth).

I love Torrefazione (sp?)! Mmm and the pasteries, gelato and panini aren't bad either!

Do you recall that they are part of Starbuck's line these days? Not that you can't like them anyway. Do they get their gelato from Gelatiamo? Gelatiamo uses Torrefazione, I think. Switched from Illy some time back.
