Is there any reason why a handheld UV light sanitizing germ killer like you can buy on Amazon, can be

used to kill salmonella and eColi in foods?

Ive seen two sites saying YES, but Im unsure if they are ads in hiding...

Im also unsure if the UV light penetrates the food, like deep inside steak...

What say you?

Wawa Sizzli FTW!

UV cannot penetrate food. Even oxygen and ozone blocks UV. That's why to sanitize food deep, radiation is used.

I use UV (55 watts) to sanitize meat when I dry-age beef.
