I thought that there was no way that I could make this conference, but as fate would have it I seem to be able to. Could put me down for the workshop with a +1 for dinner? My wife would like to come to the dinner, but not the entire workshop.

Has anyone put together a schedule for the workshop? I see that we start at 8:30 on Saturday. What time is everyone meeting at Chocolate FX on Friday? When and where do we have the show and tell? What time is dinner on Saturday? What time do we start on Sunday? I haven’t gotten a chance to read through the entire thread and my wife wants a basic timeline since she will be doing her own thing while I’m at the conference. Thanks.

Things to bring aside from all the usual chocolate stuff like molds, melters etc - an apron and containers suitable for taking finished chocolate back home. Also bring along any books you want recipes from or just copies of the recipes you want to try.

I accidentally ordered far too many scrapers for cleaning excess chocolate off of molds when shelling. I'll bring my extras and if anyone would like one (or more) I'll happily sell them. Cheap. They're actually pretty nice with a wide, slightly flexible blade. In the few weeks I've had them, I've really enjoyed using them.

Ugh, that was what I was afraid of. I'm from North Dakota, I think that it's a bit out of my travel budget at the moment. Lol I was hoping it would be a little closer *sigh* Oh well post pics and I'll admire them!

ok....so i saw there was a lot of of Thermomix stuff going on at the conference...which is awesome, cuz i love that magic machine curious though if we could do a demo/hands on of regular pdf as well? it might be nice to see the two concepts/steps side by side too. love the idea that steve had of asking what makes your bon bon "competition worthy?" how do you get that awesome shine, why do people layer flavors, is it more texture or more about crazy ingredients etc? also would like to see a demo on layering ganache and pdf, or ganache and feuilletine (or in my case, crushed cornflakes! *ha*) or something like that too....oh, and why am i suggesting these things if i'm not even going? (it hadn't been in my mind because of finances with tax season, store expenses, and *yea* we're adopting in august, so, *cha ching*

but, thanks to the prompting and encouragement from steve and betsy, i will be able to make my, what, 4th consecutive workshop?! whoop whoop! i'm excited to see my eG family, i super miss you guys!!!

Hello all,

I have an opportunity that I can't pass up coming the week after the conference, so I will not be able to attend.

It is good news , but it is not concrete, so I dont' want to jinx it by posting it here.

I was so looking forward to fun with you all in the chocolate kitchen. I made sure I bought a new (used)car this month so that I wouldn't break down on the way to the Canada, I was looking through my recipes to share and bought a new cute notebook for my inspirations.

Please take some great video, and post pics daily for me.

I was wondering that too. Especially for Friday. I know that Kerry mentioned a tour at Tomric facility, but I would like to know what time so I can plan the traveling schedule ( driving on Friday).
